International Tax Conference, hosted by the University of San Diego School of Law – Chamberlain International Tax Institute, marks the culmination of 20 years of international tax conferences under the leadership of its founder, Patrick W. Martin. The law school is dedicated to cultivating top-tier international tax content and expertise. To further this mission, an advisory board comprised of esteemed members has been established.

These professionals have made significant contributions to the tax field, expertise in international economics involving the United States and Mexico, or experience in international diplomacy between the two countries.

Alejandro Reynoso has spent the last 25 years leading institutional change and financial innovation in Latin America. He has been the project leader of initiatives such as the Reform of the Pension System in Mexico, the creation of the Systemic Risk Management Unit at the Mexican Central Bank, the corporate reorganization and IPO of the Mexican Stock Exchange, the implementation of the first ETFs in Colombia, Mexico and Peru in the Long-only, Inverse and Leveraged and Fixed Income segments; he led the establishment of the REIT Industry in Mexico. He is the founder of the first Blockchain-Investment Banking advisory firm in Latin America.
Since 2014 he has taught at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge the courses of Algorithmic Trading, Mathematical Foundations of Fintech, and Financial Innovation in Emerging Markets.

Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures. Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Wells was an executive officer of a leading oil and gas service company where he had significant exposure to oil and gas issues in the upstream context. Since joining the faculty, Professor Wells has written repeatedly on Texas oil and gas issues with a particular focus on the legal challenges raised by today’s development in unconventional shale formations.
